NICK Pope was one of 10 players to receive a vote in the Footballer Writers' Association Footballer of the Year vote.
The Clarets goalkeeper was in esteemed company as a ballot of over 400 FWA members saw Mohamed Salah crowned player of the year.
Pope was also the only goalkeeper to get a vote and the only player outside of Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham.
Salah won by less than 20 votes, with Kevin De Bruyne coming second and Harry Kane third.
The other players to receive a vote were Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Raheem Sterling from City, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen from Tottenham and Roberto Firmino off Liverpool.
Pope has enjoyed a breakout season for the Clarets and has gone from strength to strength since replacing the injured Tom Heaton in September. He has kept 12 Premier League clean sheets since and earned a first call-up to the England squad,
