BEN Mee will miss Burnley's game with Brighton this weekend as he continues to battle a shin injury, but he could yet make an appearance before the end of the season.

The Clarets skipper has missed the last four games with the recurrence of an injury he sustained towards the end of last season, but Sean Dyche has given him a chance of appearing against either Arsenal or Bournemouth.

"Ben Mee won’t make the weekend, he’s settling down, he’s got a possible chance before the end of the season, but not definite," Dyche said.

"GK (Nkoudou) has had a good week, he trained with us (on Thursday), so as long as there’s no reaction he comes into the squad."

Burnley face a Seagulls side who look set for Premier League survival under Chris Hughton.

Brighton begin the weekend in 13th place and Dyche has been impressed with how they've done this season.

"They’re in great shape. They’ve had a very good season," he said.

"Chris has worked very hard for himself and what he’s achieved.

"I think his team goes about in a really good fashion, I like the way they’re not precious about the way they play.

"They look very strong to stay in the division and that’s a tough thing."
