BOSS Tony Mowbray admitted the away dressing room was 'bouncing' after Rovers secured an immediate return to the Championship with a 1-0 win at Doncaster.

Charlie Mulgrew's goal 10 minutes from time proved enough to earn three points and secure a top two finish in League One.

The victory also cut the gap to leaders Wigan Athletic to one point with two games to play.

And Mowbray was delighted to see his side get over the line.

On the feeling in the dressing room at Doncaster, he said: “It’s bouncing. It’s amazing to see how people who have been professional all season, taking in information, can turn in to small children very quickly.

“It’s a long, long season, you were there at the start of the season when the fans let the players know that it wasn’t good enough and they wanted better.

“The good thing is that they reacted – they have lost once in 33 matches and we have got to try and make it one defeat in 35.

“I’m pleased for the players, delighted for the fans and hopefully the club is now facing in the right direction back upwards.”
