Boss Tony Mowbray wants Rovers to cash in on the favour Bury provided on Saturday when his side travel to Doncaster tomorrow night.

Already relegated Bury held promotion-chasing Shrewsbury to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, meaning Rovers now require just two points from their final three matches to win promotion from League One.

And Mowbray has confidence in his group of players.

He said: “We will take any favours that come along but it’s ultimately down to us to go and win some football matches and we have the chance in our last three games.

“I think the professional and integrity of English football is there to be seen week in week out generally.

“The fact that Bury, an already relegated side, can go to Shrewsbury who have been amazing all season and even going a goal down, can take a point is huge credit to the managerial team and players at Bury.

“We’ve been on a great run and want to finish it off.

“The focus at this moment is on going to Doncaster and putting in a positive performance to get a result.

“They’ve got a decent home record and beat us at Ewood earlier in the season, so we need to approach it the right way.

“The players know their jobs and will work hard, let’s see where it takes us. Over the course of 46 games, you’ll accumulate the points you deserve.”
