Charlie Mulgrew says every game Rovers don’t win is a disappointment, but he says the players will pick themselves up for their penultimate home game of the season.
Rovers welcome Peterborough to Ewood Park on Thursday as they bid to move one step closer to their promotion aim.
They have had back to back draws on the road at Gillingham and Bristol Rovers within the last week, with Rovers aiming to avoid going a third game without a win for the first time this season against Posh.
And Mulgrew is backing Rovers to see the job through as they look to secure immediate promotion back to the Championship.
He said: “We go in to every game looking to win. The biggest blow was not winning a game that we didn’t play well, but could have won.
“Everyone knows where we are and what we need to do, and it’s up to ourselves to pick ourselves up.
“We’re still in the driving seat, still have belief but we need to get back on track in the next game. We need to be positive and look forward to the remaining games.
“As far as we’re concerned we are still concentrating on ourselves and focussed on winning games.
“We have big, winnable games ahead, be positive and look ahead to them.”
