STANLEY chairman Andy Holt had plenty on his plate at the English Football League awards in London on Sunday night.

The Reds owner attended the event and saw his manager John Coleman collect his League Two manager of the year award while the Stanley chief was also named boss of the EFL select XI.

Stanley striker Billy Kee, named in the League Two team of the year alongside clubmate Sean McConville, was also named the division's player of the year to cap a good night for the Reds who could secure promotion to League One against Yeovil tomorrow.

And Holt was treated to a special prize of his own when presented with a Big Mac and fries instead of the evening meal by EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey.

The fast food surprise came on the back of the EFL closing an investigation into Stanley after Holt revealed on social media that he treated players to a takeaway after a victory.

That prompted an EFL probe as the deal is not part of the standard player contract.

The league 'reminded the club of their responsibilities' in a statement released earlier this month and then provided their own twist with their meal choice for the awards night.

Holt saw the funny side and tweeted: "At the @EFL awards, in what I consider to be a masterstroke, I was presented Big Mac and Chips for dinner by Shaun Harvey! Brilliant and cheers."
