Bradley Dack missed Rovers’ win at Walsall through illness and hasn’t trained for most of the week, boss Tony Mowbray revealed.

The 12-goal attacker didn’t travel to the Banks’ Stadium and his place in the team was taken by Jack Payne.

Danny Graham and Elliott Bennett were sick during the half-time break as they hung on in the second half to record a 2-1 victory.

Rovers will monitor the fitness of the trio ahead of Tuesday's trip to AFC Wimbledon.

On Dack’s absence, and the illness to both Graham and Bennett, Mowbray said: “Of course it’s a concern.

“It’s great for the team to get the three points without Bradley because he’s been a bit of a talisman for us.

“He’s generally having an involvement in the goals we scored.

“But we have to get on with it and credit to the lads we managed to get the result, they (Walsall) have been in good form and been unbeaten since we beat them.

“They put four past Doncaster recently but let’s hope Bradley is ready for Tuesday and with the others hope it was just a 24 hour bug and they will be ready.

“Everyone will be in training tomorrow and we will see how everyone is.

“Bradley has been ill for a few days, he’s not trained since Wednesday and hasn’t been around the group.

“He had no chance of playing because he was so weak and had no energy and was never going to play.

“But hopefully he can get some food back in to him and see whether he’s available.”
