CRAIG Conway is set to miss Rovers’ away trips to Walsall and AFC Wimbledon with a hamstring injury.
The winger was absent from the matchday squad as Tony Mowbray’s men moved top of the table on Monday with a 2-0 win over Bury.
Conway’s last start for Rovers came in the defeat at Plymouth on February 3, with the 32-year-old set to miss the remainder of the month.
Mowbray said: “Conway has picked up a slight hamstring injury and is going to miss the next couple of games. It’s not a long-term though.”
Midfield trio Peter Whittingham, Harry Chapman and Ben Gladwin also remain sidelined, but Rovers have been boosted by the return of forward Marcus Antonsson.
The Leeds United loanee had missed seven weeks with an ankle injury picked up in the 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe United on December 30. But he made his return as a second half substitute in the win over the Shakers.
Mowbray added: “Marcus Antonsson got a spell on the pitch on Monday and looked a threat, so that’s positive. It’s another string to our bow.
“The competition for places is getting really interesting now and we just have to try to select the right team.”
