ROVERS Under-23s have progressed to the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup after a 3-0 win at Cardiff City.

Damien Johnson’s side sit top of Group B ahead of their final match with Southampton on Monday at Leyland which will decide who progresses as group winners.

Rovers were on course for victory after just 10 minutes in which they built up a two goal advantage.
