FLEETWOOD Town boss Uwe Rosler says an agreement has been reached with Rovers for the transfer of Amari’i Bell, but the final decision over his future rests with the player.

Rovers have tracked Bell for almost a month, keen to add competition to left-back Derrick Williams who has played every league game since Tony Mowbray took charge in February.

A fee, understood to be in the region of £300,000, has now been agreed but Bell is still to make up his mind over whether to make the move to Ewood Park.

Bell is out of contract in the summer and could leave for free, with Rovers hoping to steal a march and snap him up for a cut-price fee.

The 23-year-old has continued to turn out for the Cod Army, playing 90 minutes in the win over Southend United at the weekend and Tuesday’s FA Cup replay defeat to Leicester City.

Fleetwood are hoping to cash in this month, with Bell unlikely to sign a new deal, but the situation over his future is still to be resolved ahead of Saturday’s meeting between the team two teams.

Rosler told the Blackpool Gazette: “The only thing I can say in general is that there is an agreement in place between the clubs.

“It is now up to Amari'i Bell. There is an agreement there.”

Bell joined Fleetwood in 2015 after leaving Birmingham, having made just one appearance for the Blues.

Since then he has racked up 137 games for the Cod Army, scoring seven goals.
