RAMSBOTTOM United chairman Harry Williams has reiterated his support of manager Mark Fell and his coaching team.
The Evo-Stik North side have struggled in recent weeks after a strong start to the campaign and defeat to neighbours Radcliffe Borough last time out leaves the Rams in 15th heading into Saturday's game at home to Skelmersdale United.
But Williams has issued a vote of confidence to the management set-up at the club.
In a statement he said: "Recent speculation regarding the management team at Ramsbottom United has caused concern and worry for those involved.
"I need to reiterate that the club is firmly behind the current set-up of manager Mark Fell, assistant Graham Lancashire and coach Scott Campbell whose hard work continues to be fully appreciated by everyone.
"We have had a poor run of results, which unfairly reflect the effort that has been put in at the club, and this has led to a number of assumptions, based upon rumour and innuendo, which are totally incorrect.
"I have no doubt that the results will begin to turn and have full confidence in the players and management team’s ability to turn things around.
"Such negativity has no place at Ramsbottom United, and I hope that the supporters will continue to get behind the team as we enter the second half of the season."
Meanwhile, Evo-Stik North side Ramsbottom United have rearranged three fixtures.
Fell’s side will host Atherton Collieries on Tuesday, January 23, visit Ossett Town on Saturday, February 3 and entertain Colwyn Bay on Tuesday, February 13.
