Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings from the 3-2 win at Peterborough United.

David Raya 6

Pinned on his line by an array of players in his six yard box for the opener but made one excellent stop prior to Posh’s second. Miss-kick almost handed Marriott an opportunity in the second half.

Ryan Nyambe 5

Given problems by the lively Edwards in the first half but did improve after the break and will have been relieved when the winger switched sides.

Paul Downing 5

Arguably the most troubled he has been in a Rovers shirt after a wobbly first half in particular. Didn’t use the ball as well as he has.

Charlie Mulgrew 7

Came up with the equaliser with a close range finish at the start of the second half. Knew when to play out from the back and when to clear his lines.

Derrick Williams 7

Drove forward left back with some strong runs in both halves. Posh had less success down his side, even when Posh dangerman Edwards switched flanks.

Richie Smallwood 7

Chased shadows a little in the first half but got in among the Posh midfielders after the break, none moreso than his pivotal role in Rovers taking the lead through Dack.

Peter Whittingham 5

Used the well with some neat passing, but beaten in a few tackles and struggled to shield his back four effectively before being forced off.

Craig Conway 5

Was on the periphery of things throughout and played on both the right and left in search of some joy. Saw a second half shot flash wide.

Bradley Dack 8 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

Two goals and a hand in Mulgrew’s opener, Dack was at the heart of Rovers’ best play once again. Took his goals with the goalscoring instinct of a man in form and put in a great shift out of possession. Was denied twice in the first half by excellent Bond saves.

Marcus Antonsson 6

Involved in the counter-attack for Dack’s second goal and saw a curling effort well saved by Bond. Booked for diving in the first half.

Dominic Samuel 7

Will possibly have been disappointed not to have scored with an early header and showed some good link-up play with Dack. Played a key role in Rovers’ third goal.

Subs

Corry Evans (for Whittingham, 31) 5

Forced off at the break following a full blooded tackle in the middle of the pitch.

Willem Tomlinson (for Evans, 46) 7

Got his foot on the ball to keep Rovers moving but was equally happy to do the physical side of the game in what was a mature display from the 19-year-old.

Danny Graham (for Samuel, 76) 6

Helped Rovers deal with Peterborough’s set piece threat with some good defensive headers.
