ONE man that Rovers won't be able to call on during their hectic schedule is Middlesbrough loanee Harry Chapman.

The 20-year-old travelled to Finland during the international break to undergo surgery on his hamstring injury sustained in the 0-0 draw at Wigan on October 28.

While revealing that the surgery was a success, Mowbray says Rovers will now have to put Chapman to the back of their minds with the winger not expected to return to East Lancashire until well in to the New Year.

The boss added: “It went very well, he went to Finland for it.

“He’s going to be on crutches for the next six weeks or so.

“We have to forget about Harry for the time being with the hope that he might come back at some stage towards the end of the season and hopefully get us over the line.

“At this moment in time our thoughts have to be with him recuperating and getting himself fit.

“We have to push on without him and hopefully see him before the end of the season.”
