OUR Clarets fans jury discuss the big talking points at Turf Moor. This week they discuss whether Johann Berg Gudmundsson has done enough to earn a start at Manchester City on Saturday?

MATT RIGGS

I think it would be worth bringing in Johann Berg Gudmundsson on Saturday but perhaps more for the "ugly" side of the game.

I think it's safe to say that we won't see much of the ball against Manchester City, so we could do with players who will track back and help out defensively. Scott Arfield does that well so I would drop Robbie Brady for the game in order to accommodate Gudmundsson and stick with the five in midfield.

ANDREW GREENWOOD

I would. He’s in a rich vein of form after scoring twice for Iceland in recent qualifiers and he made a real difference on Saturday when he came on putting a perfect cross in for Chris Wood to equalise.

I think he’d probably replace Arfield who always does a good job for us but Johann just has that bit of extra class in the final third. Whether we get the ball in the final third is another matter!

AMER STANSFIELD-MUSHTAQ

When Gudmundsson came on against West Ham last Saturday, he seemed like a man on a mission and full of confidence following his goal for Iceland and therefore his country's qualification for the World Cup.

His 25 yard effort against the woodwork and then his assist for Chris Wood's equaliser meant he could have taken the man of the match award.

I would certainly have him starting at the Etihad Stadium this weekend. When you have the kind of week he did for club and country, I think he would be disappointed not to start against Man City.
