I still believe we should be aiming for that 40 point mark to be absolutely sure of Premier League football next season. Having attended three out of the four away games, I'll be glad when we're back at Turf Moor and hope we can carry on picking up points there.

Our away form is baffling. We deserved better against Liverpool after a good performance, so it was disappointing to see an over cautious display against an extremely poor Sunderland side.

I think 38 would be enough to secure safety and the sooner we can get there, the better as we seem to be stuttering our way there. Saturday was an ideal opportunity to break the away hoodoo but we couldn’t find the killer touch.

We have two tough home games coming up but if we could get three or four points out of them then we’ll be nearly there. Most of the games we have left are games where we are capable of picking points up. A win and three draws should be enough.

I would still like us to get to 40 points as soon as possible. As for where those points will come from, probably at the same stadium they've they have come from all season - Turf Moor.

With Harry Kane not likely to feature in our next game, I would hope that in the space of seven days with back to back home games coming up against Tottenham and Stoke City, followed by a winnable game at the Riverside, we could get close to that.

How romantic would it be to virtually seal survival with our first away win at the home of our fierce rivals from last season.
