BLACKBURN Rovers are still awaiting for approval from the Football League as to whether their attempts to bring in Celtic defender Efe Ambrose on loan had been successful.
The 11pm transfer deadline passed without the deal being confirmed, with Rovers still waiting on ratification as to whether the deal would be sanctioned.
However, approval had not been given bu 1.20pm.
Rovers did complete a move for Marvin Emnes with the forward returning to the club on loan from Swansea, while Ben Marshall ended a month long transfer saga by joining Championship rivals Wolves for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £1.5million.
Sheffield Wednesday attacker Lucas Joao was brought in late on Monday evening to further strengthen Owen Coyle’s attacking options but Rovers missed out on a deal for long-term target Abdoul Ba who remained in France with RC Lens.
