THERE were brief hopes of a cup upset when Burnley travelled to the Emirates Stadium a year ago and Sam Vokes levelled the scores against the Gunners.
Burnley were into their 23-game unbeaten league run that took them to the Championship title and travelled down to the capital in the FA Cup fourth round.
They had dumped Middlesbrough out at the Riverside in round three but faced a tough task against Arsene Wenger's side.
Calum Chambers opened the scoring after 19 minutes, his third goal for Arsenal and his second for the club against Burnley.
But the Clarets were level 11 minutes later when Vokes headed home Tendayi Darikwa's cross.
It stayed that way until half-time but the Gunners secured progress through Alexis Sanchez eight minutes into the second half.
