WE all know how important Burnley’s home form is and it was a big result to pick up three points against Everton on Saturday.

At Turf Moor the Clarets are a match for anyone and they have now beaten both Merseyside teams and run Arsenal very close.

It was great to see Scott Arfield score the winner.

MORE TOP STORIES:

It wasn’t his greatest game and he was getting a bit of stick but he stuck at it and was in the right place for both goals. It was his shot that set Sam Vokes up for the first and the way Scott finished the second was fantastic.

It was a really difficult technique and he made it look easy.

You know what you are going to get from Scott. He works hard and never stops running and he got his reward with the goal.

It was the same with Michael Kightly. He has had to wait and bide his time. When he was in the starting line-up on Saturday I think everyone was a bit surprised but he took his chance and had a good game.

He is a bit hit and miss at times but he was got that little bit of creativity that can change games. He was up against a top-quality full back in Seamus Coleman and he played really well.

When you have to wait 10 months for a league start as he has then it is tough to come in and adapt. That is even more the case when the team has stepped up a level and are in the Premier League.

You have to be patient when players come in having not had much game time.

But both Michael and Scott will always give their all. They are typically Burnley in that respect. You always know what you are going to get from them and from Burnley. They will give you 100 per cent effort and commitment and that is very much the Sean Dyche way, you can tell those two players have worked with Sean for a long time.

They have given Sean a bit of thought now for Saturday’s game at Manchester United.

Personally, I wouldn’t bring Andre Gray back into the starting XI. I think the formation with Sam up top on his own is working well at the moment and I wouldn’t change it.

Steven Defour has to come back in if he is fit because he is one of those players who can change a game. But it won’t be an easy call who to bring him in for if he is available!

Whoever takes to the field for Burnley I think they have a great chance of getting something at Old Trafford. This is not a United team of old and Burnley should not travel with any fear.

We have seen that they can cope with the best teams in the Premier League and if they have a strong gameplan I think they will get something out of the game on Saturday.
