SEAN Dyche expects interest in Michael Keane to continue but insists the defender is not for sale.
The 23-year-old has looked an assured presence in the opening weeks of the season, stepping up to Premier League level having been a key figure in last season's promotion push.
The Clarets rejected a £15million bid from champions Leicester City in the summer, and Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has apparently joined a growing list of admirers.
After scoring in Monday's 2-0 win over Watford, the centre-half declared himself happy at the club and that will be music to his manager's ears.
"We've made it clear he's not for sale, among others who are not for sale, and he's still at the club so that's ongoing," said Dyche.
"There's a balance. It's a kind of respect in a way, that people recognise some of our players are doing well but there's also that little bit where you think 'we're not actively selling players'. We don't want to lose players.
"Situations can become unsettled but Keano's been really clear-minded throughout the summer."
