WE give our player ratings for Burnley's impressive win over Liverpool at Turf Moor.
Tom Heaton 7
For all of Liverpool’s pressure the Burnley captain didn’t have much to do. The saves he did make were routine.
Matt Lowton 8
Rock solid defensively as Liverpool probed down the left. Made some key blocks and calm in possession.
Michael Keane 9*
He said last week the Premier League suits him and showed why. Outstanding at the heart of defence as Liverpool continually probed down the middle
Ben Mee 9
Rock solid alongside Keane, what a partnership they could make. Refused to be drawn out of position as he repelled everything throw at him.
Stephen Ward 8
If Jon Flanagan is to play at left-back he has a job on his hands. Ward was dependable defensively and always aware when the visitors looked to switch play.
George Boyd 8
A workaholic display from a man whose fitness and will to work back never ceases to amaze. Helped keep the shape.
Dean Marney 9
For the second week in a row stepped up to the plate and showed he belongs at this level. Cool in possession and ferocious in the tackle.
Steven Defour 8
Tired in the second half but showed some real moments of class on the ball as well as clever movement to create passing angles.
Scott Arfield 8
Ran himself into the ground and improved as he moved centrally when Defour went off. Showed why he is keeping Gudmundsson out.
Sam Vokes 8
Held the ball up well when it came forward but will remember the game for his goal. A stunning strike and another memorable moment this year for Vokes.
Andre Gray 8
Looks every inch a Premier League striker on evidence so far. Took his goal brilliantly, set Vokes up and looks a real danger to defences.
SUBS
Gudmundsson for Defour (56), Jutkiewicz for Vokes (82), O’Neill for Gray (90).
Subs not used: Robinson, Darikwa, Tarkowski, Kightly
