PAUL Lambert has insisted he does not have another job lined up once he leaves Blackburn Rovers after next Saturday’s final game of the season at home to Reading.

Reports this morning suggest that Celtic are planning to speak to the 46-year-old about becoming their replacement for the outgoing Ronnie Deila.

Lambert won nine domestic honours in eight years as a player at the Glasgow outfit who yesterday all but sealed another Scottish Premiership title.

But, after watching his Rovers side return to winning ways at Rotherham United, he said: “Celtic is a fantastic club, a massive football club.

“There’s been some great players who have walked through the doors there and there’s a great saying, ‘it’s the jersey that fits the players’, and if you’re not good enough to carry that jersey, then supporters will let you know.

“But I haven’t even thought about anything. I know people are putting two and two together but that’s not the case.

“I’ll go away from here and I’ll take time to make my next move. I’ve got to see if somebody wants me.

“I know the link and all that and I’m flattered to be linked with anybody.

“I’m delighted they have won the league but I’m just going to enjoy this moment and then think about next Saturday.”
