UNBEATEN Chorley star Jack Catterall is aiming to give his fans value for money when he fights at Bolton's Macron Stadium on Friday, May 13.

The 22-year-old, who was won all of his 14 fights so far, will defend his WBO Intercontinental Super-Lightweight title at the ground's Macron Stadium.

Catterall, who was last seen beating Noe Nunez Rodriguez at the Manchester Arena in December, will make the fourth defence of his title against Malmesbury rival Joe Hughes, the reigning English champion, in the Premier Suite, with the fight also serving as a British title eliminator.

One of the rising stars of the British fight game, Catterall will headline the show in a bill titled 'Jack's Back', and he is happy to be so.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to the Premier Suite in the Macron Stadium for the first time as a champion and putting my title on the line against Hughes in what will be an exciting fight for my home fans,” he said.

"This is the first time I’ve headlined a show by myself and I aim to put on a fantastic show for the fans as I look to do in all my fights and give them real value for money so that they go away and can’t wait for the next one."

Hughes, 25, has 14 wins and one defeat on his record, and Catterall knows he won't be fazed by being the away fighter.

"I know Hughes fancies the job and will be coming to my home patch looking to upset the odds and beat me," said the Chorley star, nicknamed 'El Gato'.

"He comes in with a good record, he’s the English Champion he’s fought all over the country so coming to my hotbed won’t bother him.

"There’s no doubt in my mind at all that I’ll beat him, though. There’s no way that I’m going to let him come to patch and beat me. I’ve got the skills to take him out at any time."

Chief support on the bill will be Accrington's Luke Blackledge, who will defend his Commonwealth Super-Middleweight title.
