WITH an 8-3 away win at Sheffield Senators and a 9-2 win at home to the same opponents this weekend, it was good to see the goals shared around.

We are all taking responsibility in that department, and we need to, especially at this time of the season.

We’ve got to get every line firing, and we do have danger on every line.

On Saturday we made the mistake of taking the game too lightly and ended up 2-0 down.

It’s probably not something we should admit to but it’s kind of hard to get up for games like that. It shouldn’t be, and we got into our rhythm eventually - although we probably didn’t really get going until the third period. But against a better team we might have been punished.

You can only beat what’s in front of you and you’ve got to do a professional job.

We were better on Sunday. We certainly started a lot better, but as the game went on we slackened off a little bit.

We got the four points from the weekend though, and they were comfortable wins in the end.

But we have to stay on our mettle and not fall into the trap of being sloppy.

When you are camped out in the opposition’s zone for long periods though, as we were, you can get gung-ho and sometimes you can get caught out.

We can’t afford to do that when we travel to Sutton Sting on Sunday.

It will be a tough game there after they thrashed Sheffield Spartans 10-2 on Saturday, while they suffered a narrow defeat to Whitley Warriors the weekend before.

We have to go there focused and with confidence.
