BLACKBURN Rovers duo Fode Koita and Sacha Petshi were in Paris at the time of the terror attacks.

Striker Koita and midfielder Petshi returned to the French capital late last week after the Rovers squad was given three days off before new boss Paul Lambert started work on Monday.

The summer signings, who were born in or near Paris, were in the city on Friday night when at least 129 people lost their lives.

But when contacted by the club they confirmed they were fine and they have trained alongside their team-mates as usual this week.

Lambert said: “They’ve been good. As everybody knows that’s a very sensitive subject and thankfully the two guys are fine.

“They are two young lads, it must be difficult for them being over here with the language maybe a little bit strange, and it being a different culture.

“But they’ll get all the attention and care that they deserve.”

Koita and Petshi will both come into contention for selection for tomorrow’s short trip to Preston North End.

Lambert confirmed midfielder Jason Lowe is the only Rovers player ruled out of the Deepdale derby.
