BURNLEY have allowed three players to exit the club on loan.

Northern Ireland international Danny Lafferty has joined League One side Oldham Athletic on a one-month emergency loan deal while Cameron Dummigan has also completed a switch to the Latics on a one-month youth loan.

Goalkeeper Daniel Nizic is also on the move having joined Crewe Alexandra, managed by former Burnley player Steve Davis, on a one-month youth loan.

Oldham are currently managed by former Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn and both Lafferty and Dummigan could make their debuts for their new club in today’s League One clash with Gillingham.

Full back Lafferty spent time on loan with Rotherham in the Championship last season and made 11 appearances for the Millers.

He suffered a collarbone injury earlier this year and has been unable to dislodge Ben Mee as Burnley’s first choice left-back.

Dummigan, 19, is a Northern Ireland youth international who has been a regular with Burnley’s Under-21 side.

Goalkeeper Nizic is expected to be on the Crewe bench for today’s League One game with Chesterfield.

“Daniel is highly thought of at Burnley and it will be good for him to come here and be in a professional environment,” said Crewe boss Davis of the 20-year-old Australian.
