I NOTICE that Jordan Rhodes has been linked with Middlesbrough again.

I’m unsure whether Blackburn would want to sell to another club in the Championship if a proper bid did come in.

But if it did, and it was something they found acceptable, Jordan would have to think long and hard about it.

Like any player I’m sure he wants to play in the Premier League.

But if a top-flight club doesn’t come in for him, and Middlesbrough do, he has to ask if they are the right club for him.

There will be a lot of criteria he’s going to have to fulfil in his head if he is ever put in the position.

But for now it seems to be nothing more than speculation.

And unfortunately that’s something Blackburn fans are going to have to get used to this summer because they have two good goalscorers.

Goalscorers are always going to be linked with moves away no matter what club they play for. That’s because they are the most talked about players. It’s just one of those things.

But whether Jordan or Rudy Gestede stay or go, it looks like we will need another forward after Josh King left.

I disagree with him when he says that he didn’t get enough opportunities at Blackburn.

I think he got a fair chance; it’s just that when he did get a chance, and he did look like he could make a position his own, he got injured.

But he will be missed. He was lightning quick, there is no doubt about it,.

It was just about finding his correct position. When he was in the wider areas he ran on train tracks, straight up and down, but when he was played in the middle it highlighted a different way Blackburn could play.

They could sit deep and put long balls behind. That option has gone.
