DINAMO MOSCOW may be something of an unknown quantity to most, but, when it comes to tuning into the qualities of the Russians, it's all Greek to Georgios Samaras.

The Celtic striker has been utilising his own information service to prepare as well as he can for tomorrow night's Champions League qualifier.

Samaras trusts it will give him an advantage if manager Tony Mowbray elects to pitch him in as a reward for his wonder goal against Spurs at Wembley on Sunday.

The Greece international said: "I know a fair bit about Dinamo because the Greek satellite stations I have at home show a lot of Russian football and I've been watching it quite closely.

"My friend from the Greek national team, Giourkas Seitaridis, also played at Dinamo for a season, told me the mentality of the Russian players was strong, and especially those at Dinamo.

"Russian teams have improved year on year, and they have lots of money to spend.

"The only bad thing for me is that Dinamo are in the middle of their season.

"But we're ready to start at a great pace and we'll try and win. I think we need that to take to Moscow."
