After a short break and a swift relocation to Glasgow, this month's Noise Pollution event will witness Berlin wonderboy Shed take to the stage.

Although Shed, known from his remarkable releases on his own Soloaction imprint as well as releases on Delsin and Styrax, no longer performs live, intends to build a set using DJ/live performance elements alongside his trusty Roland MC-808 sampler, which is sure to be a winner.

Also on the bill is local deviant The Wasp coming out of his usual hiding at the infamous Monox night for a few hours to play some records with resident Sean Matthews to get the crowd ready for what is sure to be a tremendous evening of quality electronic music.

• Noise Pollution @ Maggie May's Basement, 60 Trongate. Friday, March 16, 11pm-3am. £8. Get with the Team

Deportivo Street Team play live at Record Playerz a week tonight. The band, two Glasgow boys who style themselves as "electronic funk warriors", have been quietly building a reputation for hi-tech dance productions. Their first single, How Can I Get Thru To You, came to prominence last year, finding its way on to the playlists of such respected DJs as Ewan Pearson, Mark Farina and Silicone Soul.

The Deportivo sound is an infectious brand of bass dominated electronic digital funk which fuses house, electro and acid. The sound is re-created live via computers and other bits of electronic paraphernalia.

In recent months the boys have been busy on the live front with previous appearances at Monox, Cotton Cake and Bump, as well as an Edinburgh gig for T-Mobile/Sony and a show at the legendary 333 club in London's Shoreditch.

Music on the night will be provided by DJs Hushpuppy, Bonjour Boi and Jackson who will be hosting their by now infamous and trademarked 'delinquent punk-disco' sound session.

• Record Playerz @ The Vic Bar, Glasgow School of Art, Thursday, March 15, 11pm-3am. Art students £1; others £3/£4. Fusion fun for all

November Café Bar & Club in Princes Square has launched a fresh, funky and free Saturday night called Fusion.

Oh, and there are some glorious cocktails on offer too, which will tantalise your tastebuds without tanking your wallet. Huggy rocks
