But he had to be replaced himself 13 minutes from the end of normal time after injuring his calf.

It is an injury that will rule him out of the clash with Derby County.

But Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, who confirmed that Williamson has overcome the eye problem that forced him off against the Swans, is hopeful Dunn will be fit for Saturday’s visit of Fulham to Ewood Park.

Bowyer said: “Unfortunately when Dunny came on he felt his calf.

“He’ll be missing against Derby but hopefully he’ll be okay for the weekend.

“Willo will be fine, though. He couldn’t see out of his eye but he has recovered.”

Bowyer added: “We went through a spell when we couldn’t name a fully fit squad but that’s changed.

“And the timing of it is very good because it’s an important run-in now.”
