BLACKBURN Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has made six changes for this afternoon’s Championship clash with fellow promotion hopefuls Wolves at Ewood Park.

Goalkeeper Jason Steele, captain Grant Hanley and fellow defenders Alex Baptiste and Markus Olsson are recalled to the side after missing last Saturday’s FA Cup win at Charlton Athletic.

And they are joined in Bowyer’s starting line-up by top-scorers Rudy Gestede and Jordan Rhodes who were rested for the victory at the Valley.

Chris Taylor, who scored twice to earn Rovers a 2-1 third-round success, has kept his place in the team.

But Simon Eastwood, Matt Kilgallon, Craig Conway, David Dunn and Chris Brown drop to the bench while Adam Henley misses out altogether.

The suspension-free Corry Evans and the fit-again Josh King are Bowyer’s other substitutes.

Wolves, who are two points and one position above 10th-placed Rovers after a run of three wins and a draw, make four changes.

Kortney Hause, Kevin McDonald, Rajiv van La Parra and Nouha Dicko replace Matt Doherty, Lee Evans, Leon Clarke and top-scorer Bakary Sako, who is away with Mali ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Rovers: Steele, Baptiste, Hanley, Duffy, Olsson, Taylor, Cairney, Williamson, Marshall, Rhodes, Gestede. Subs: Eastwood, Kilgallon, King, Dunn, Brown, Evans, Conway.

Wolves: Ikeme, Iorfa, Batth, Stearman, Hause, Price, McDonald, Henry, Edwards, van La Parra, Dicko. Subs: Kuszczak, Doherty, Ebanks-Landell, Evans, Jacobs, Clarke, McAlinden.
