4:51pm

Wasn't a classic match by any stretch of the imagination but as always pre-season is about fitness, and it was certainly a testing afternoon in that regard in the hot conditions. On now to Bury on Wednesday night.

4:50pm

4:47pm

Full time, Bradford City 0 Blackburn Rovers 0.

4:42pm

Luke Varney with a promising surge on the left, but then he fired his shot wide.

4:38pm

Bradford angered by a challenge by John O'Sullivan on Alan Sheehan, but it didn't look too bad in truth.

4:38pm

Will be very disappointed if Bradford don't bring on Achille Campion before the end of this game, it's too good a name not to be used.

4:31pm

Off go Robinson, Baptiste, Hanley, Kilgallon, Lowe, Williamson, Evans, King, Taylor. No-one left on from the start of the match now.

4:30pm

Subs galore for Rovers on 72 minutes. On come Ashdown, Lenihan, Songo'o, O'Connell, Tanner, O'Sullivan, Rittenberg, Mahoney and Dunn.

4:27pm

After another drinks break and a couple of Bradford subs we're underway again

4:26pm

Lancashire Telegraph:

4:21pm

Varney on for Marshall for Rovers on 63

4:11pm

Robinson called upon again to save from Sheehan after the left back had gone past Corry Evans.

4:11pm

Paul Robinson makes a decent save to keep out a powerful 20-yard drive from Mark Yeates.

not much going on at the moment best thing was the ice cream at half time

4:08pm

Alan Sheehan with a header just wide for Bradford, he probably should have scored, Billy Clarke with the right-wing cross.

4:02pm

No surprise that Spurr has gone off, he was making his return from a groin injury today so I think that was always the plan.

4:01pm

Rovers half time sub: Henley for Spurr.

3:49pm

Gary Bowyer doing his half time team talk on the pitch, with the Valley Parade dressing rooms a little cramped.

3:48pm

Half time, Bradford 0 Rovers 0.

3:46pm

James Hanson, once the hero of Bradford's run to the League Cup final, puts a header comfortably wide for Bradford. Home side making a sub on 44 minutes, Mark Yeates on for ex-Rover Raffaele De Via who looks to have picked up an injury.

3:43pm

Tommy Spurr unable to turn the ball goalwards from a Ben Marshall corner. Rovers playing some neat football.

3:26pm

Jason Lowe with a 20-yard volley that goes just wide. We're now having a drinks break because of the weather.

3:23pm

Chris Taylor with a shot deflected and easily saved by Pickford. Not too much happening on the pitch in terms of chances, I think the heat may slow this game down as time goes on too.

3:22pm

Probably a gauge of the quiet atmosphere inside Valley Parade at the moment that you can hear the chimes of the ice cream van on the street outside. Plenty tempted to nip outside and buy something in this hot weather.

3:13pm

First real opening of the game as Alex Baptiste surged forward from right back, he stumbled a little on the ball in the area and Pickford was able to block.

3:03pm

No real surprises in how Rovers are lining up, a five-man midfield with Chris Taylor on the right and Ben Marshall on the left, with Josh King the lone striker.

3:02pm

We're underway here at Valley Parade.

2:56pm

Only the main stand and the away section open here at Valley Parade today, maybe about 400 Rovers fans here at moment, five minutes to kick-off.

2:48pm

Jordan Rhodes has just taken his seat behind us in the main stand, sitting with his father Andy.

2:44pm

A couple of former Rovers players in the Bradford squad, Raffaele De Vita and Matt Urwin.

2:43pm

Subs: Matt Urwin, Christopher Routis, Mo Shariff, Mark Yeates, James Meredith, Achille Campion, Jason Kennedy, Lewis Clarkson, Oliver McBurnie, Reggie Lambe, Niall Heaton.

2:43pm

Bradford: Jordan Pickford, Stephen Darby, Andrew Davies, Rory McArdle, Alan Sheehan, Raffaele De Vita, Gary Liddle, Matthew Dolan, Billy Knott, James Hanson, Billy Clarke.

2:42pm

Former Portsmouth keeper Jamie Ashdown is on the bench, he is currently on trial with Rovers.

2:41pm

Rudy Gestede was due to play today and did arrive at Valley Parade but was feeling unwell and has returned home. Chris Brown is not quite ready to play after injury, Jordan Rhodes, Tom Cairney and Craig Conway are rested.

2:37pm

Subs: Jamie Ashdown, Adam Henley, Darragh Lenihan, Yann Songo'o, Jack O'Connell, Hyuga Tanner, John O'Sullivan, Dean Rittenberg, Connor Mahoney, David Dunn, Luke Varney.

2:37pm

Rovers team: Paul Robinson, Alex Baptiste, Grant Hanley, Matt Kilgallon, Tommy Spurr, Jason Lowe, Corry Evans, Lee Williamson, Chris Taylor, Ben Marshall, Josh King.

2:33pm

Welcome to Valley Parade for Blackburn Rovers' friendly at Bradford City this afternoon.

Typical Bowyer. "We must not lose selection" Josh King lone striker? I know we have injuries and absentees but we are playing Bradford not Barcellona. This negative selection of teams cost Rovers a play off place last season. He must pick the most attacking line up available. Play to Rovers strengths not the opposition.
