Pupils from Earby and Park primary schools have taken victory in mini tennis and girls’ football to seal two of the final slots at this year’s SPAR Lancashire School Games county finals.

The teams from Earby and Park primary both finished in first place, and will progress to the School Games County Final where the pupils will compete against other children from across Lancashire.

A total of 18 schools from across Pendle competed in the tournaments with the support of Park and Fishermore High Schools and Pendle Vale College who officiated the matches.

The SPAR Lancashire School Games is organised by the Lancashire Local Organising Committee (LOC) and sponsored by James Hall & Company Ltd, the SPAR distributors for the North of England.

Around 3,000 primary and secondary pupils from across the county are expected to take part in the School Games County Finals later today.
