CHURCH can put on foot in the semi-finals of the Moorhouse’s Lancashire League Twenty20 tonight as the group stages reach boiling point tonight.

Craig Fergusson’s men host East Lancashire at West End knowing a win – plus their impressive net run-rate – will make them hard to topple.

East Lancashire must win the game at Church to keep their interest alive in their 150th season Accrington are currently second in Group A but are inactive tonight and Enfield, who are third, must beat Rishton to stay in the chase for the last four.

Nelson have a 100 per cent record in Group C and they can book their place in the semi-finals and heap more misery on local rivals Colne at Seedhill.

If Nelson slip in their final group game the door will open for Lowerhouse with the defending champions, who have a better run-rate, needing to win their final two games to stand any chance of going through.

The House entertain Todmorden this evening.

Haslingden need to win their last Group B game next weekend to go through – although they could be celebrating tonight if Ramsbottom lose at home to Bacup.

Elsewhere Rawtenstall host Edenfield with neither side having won yet.
