Ribble Valley Netball Club travelled ‘en masse’ to the the annual Paris International Tournament with more than 90 players, coaches, parents and volunteers heading to the French capital.

On the first day, each team played games to sort out which divisions they would be in on the final day.

The second day the players had coaching sessions in the morning with some of the England Under 21a players – one of which started her netball career at Ribble Valley – then the afternoon was spent at Disneyland.

The third day was finals day with all the Ribble Valley Netball Club teams in action,.

The Under 16s had a great day finishing second in there age group.

The Under 14s went one better and won the whole tournament, going through the entire tournament with a 100 per cent record.

It was a fitting finale for the all-conquering Under 14s team who were crowned national champions last month after beating Tameside in the final And the Under 13s showed how strong they are by entering the under 14s group and finishing in a fantastic fourth place.

All the other teams from RVNC all placed well in their respective groups.

The youngest team from the club was made up of players from age seven to 10-years-old had a fantastic trip.

With no age group for them to play in the England players split them into two teams and played a few friendly games with them which the girls really enjoyed.

The tournament ended with a presentation evening at Disneyland with a huge collection of silverware came the way of RVNC.

“We had a terrific five days and we won the competition,” said coach Sara Thompson.
