Fit2xl Community Boxing Club held its last show of the season at the Beechwood club in Blackburn and it certainly went out with a bang.

Home boxer, Jordan Butterworth, was first in the ring against Tayler Painter from Wildcards ABC.

Butterworth dominated the bout from first bell until last to get the unanimous points decision.

Ali Akhtar was next up for the hosts against Ryan Haythornthwaite from Clayton ABC. In what was a real fire cracker of a bout, it was the Clayton fighter who got the nod on a split decision .

Next up was Hassan Khan who was challenging for the North West title which was held by Blackburn and Darwen boxer Keiran Hunter Love – and it was a home town derby to savour. d Both boxers were given an standing evation coming in to the ring in what was an electric atmosphere.

Keiran boxed well and defended his title like a true champ but Hassan had a answer for everything Keiran threw at him which show in the judges decision with Hassan winning unanimously and becoming the new northwest champion .

Also Omar Osman boxed Ali Husnain from Hamer Omar.

The home fighter started brightly but faded towards the end to lose what was only his second bout of the season.

Also Aaron Egan was meant to box on the show but his opponent did not turn up..

Aaron was awarded Fit2XL’s boxer of the year award for his dedicated to the sport and for his attitude in and out of the ring.
