MUNEEB Alam delivered six of the best, leading magnificent All Stars to a shock win against Sheths Bathrooms Blackburn and District Amateur Cricket League leaders Blackburn Lions.

The Lions were runners-up in the title race last term, but they found bowler Alam too hot to handle as he collected a match-winning 6-17 from a stunning seven over spell.

Top scorer Imran Zaman also chipped in with a valuable 61 as All Stars moved into third spot, a point behind Division One champions Blackburn Eagles, who cruised to victory against Super X1.

Bottom of the table Hargreaves broke their duck in style with Siddiq Patel leading their victory charge against fellow strugglers Bharuch with a powerful knock of 65.

Imtiyaz Vali was the pick of the batsmen for Bharuck, scoring a fine 50, but it was Hargeaves, last season's B Division champs, who posted their first win of the campaign in terrific style.

Patel returned stunning match winning figures of 6-12 from his over seven over stint.

Elite Blinds UK and Boom Boom are locked together at the summit of B Division, with 28 points each respectively.

Elite claimed victory against Sansrod while Boom Boom were also on the victory trail, taking a maximum points haul agianst Tham.

Division B new boys Blackburn CC tasted defeat against Damon Royals who secured third place.
