BLACKBURN Rovers U21s coach Colin Hendry has left the club by mutual agreement.

Hendry, who scored Rovers' winner in their 1987 Full Members Cup final victory at Wembley and was part of their 1994-95 Premiership winning team, returned to the club in 2012.

The former Scotland captain was appointed as a first-team coach.

But he spent last season assisting Eric Kinder with Rovers' U21s.

Hendry said: “I’ve enjoyed the last couple of seasons working with Gary Bowyer.

"I wish him well and hope he can guide Blackburn Rovers back into the Premier League.”
