THE Blackburn Combination is calling on all clubs, players, coaches, referees or anybody else interested in playing Saturday afternoon football.

The league is actively looking for new blood for next season.

The Blackburn Combination is a highly competitive, well run competition for players over 16 players ofld with games generally taking place at Pleasington Playing Fields.

The league also welcomes junior sides looking to step up to adult football.

“We already have several teams who have made the successful transition,” said league secretary Bill Markham.

The club has also successfully implemented a roll-on, roll-off substiute system that was introduced by the Lancashire FA.

“We also have veteran sides that are competing well due to the roll-on, roll-off substitutes,” added Bill.

“We can also find clubs for individual players and coaches who may want to join us.

“And any referees who would like a regular game would be made most welcome.”
