Burnley expect Premier League season ticket sell-out

Lancashire Telegraph: Burnley expect Premier League season ticket sell-out Burnley expect Premier League season ticket sell-out

BURNLEY have less than 2,000 season tickets remaining for their Premier League return, and a sell-out is anticipated after the club announced a freeze on ‘early bird’ renewal prices for 2015/16.

With the cheapest adult price set at £229 under the ‘early bird’ offer, based on the purchase of a full-price season ticket this year and discount of £100 advance payment on the 2015/16 early bird prices.

That means should the Clarets retain their top flight status supporters could be watching Premier League football for just £12 a game.

And to help spread the payments the club is offering three-month and six-month direct debit options until the end of July.

Clarets Co-Chairman Mike Garlick said: “Explaining now to supporters that we are freezing the 2015/2016 renewal prices will hopefully take out a lot of the uncertainty about pricing for the future.

“Our determination is always to make sure that season ticket holders receive the best value for their continued commitment.

“And with less than 2,000 season tickets remaining, now is the best time to purchase to make sure you get the best seats available for the upcoming season.”

The club have a limit of 15,000 season tickets to sell for the 2014/15 season, with adult prices now starting from £499.

That's it?? That's the response?
Only 2000 left out of 15000...by my reckoning, that's a grand total of c.500 sold since the retainer/ voucher fiasco...interesting that the terms now contain no mention of either word - we appear now to have moved on to "deduction". I don't see this latest "innovation" moving the 2000 season tickets remaining...a real pity and an opportunity missed. Just admit you got it wrong and stop digging for pity's sake.

Please stop embarrassing Burnley FC with this crap...

All the tickets would have been sold by now had we not put on the extras and would be next season unless the board don't think we are going to stay up which is the message they are giving out, fair-weather fans or Premiership fans it's not a case of that they are still Burnley fans/supporters, yes maybe they should have got the early bird but are they to be swept aside because they cannot afford it?

It's stuff like this that put's distances between local community's and the club especially when we are talking 300k against millions.

I think we should stop knocking the board and forget all this season ticket hype. Most of our loyal supporters benefit each season by buying at early bird prices.
Those who have waited for guaranteed premiership football, will have to pay premiership prices. lf they stay with us (unlike last time) they will be rewarded, if they dont, they wont!
lt's as simple as that.
We only really have a hardcore of about 11,000 to 12,000 and they look to be the ones that have already been rewarded.

My last post, I think, before I go for my 2 weeks in the sun.
I don't have the problem some Clarets seem to have with "fairweather" fans. Why are some Burnley fans so insistent on being members of an elite few? Every club has them, EVERY CLUB. Do you really think that Liverpool, City, Newcastle or even United would have full houses every game in the championship? When United played in the old second division they had remarkable attendances (averaged over 50k) but they weren't full every week. I can remember Newcastle getting sub-10k gates in the same division.
All supporters should be welcome, whether they are there for the prem or not. I'll wager that some of our "die hards" weren't there in the old 4th division when we were getting sub 4k.
