Harriet Ashworth
TALENTED young Harriet Ashworth has earned a call up to the Lancashire hockey squad.
The Oakhill College student has worked hard for the recognition since starting training with Pendle Forest Hockey Club.
In 2012, Harriet was asked to attend the U12s Lancashire Hockey Development squad at Lytham and in 2013 was invited to attend the U13 development squad.
Harriet was then selected to play for the Lancashire U13 squad.
Harriet’s preferred position is in defence but also plays on the left wing.
“We would like to wish Harriet every success as she progresses with the Lancashire and congratulate her on this wonderful achievement,” said Oakhill College spokeman Maria Bland.
