AFM Multan, Azzaq and Pakistan CC all got off to the perfect start as the Accrington District Cricket League burst into life.
Six teams are contesting the league this year and Azzaq were the opening day stars as they piled on the runs.
Against Kashmir they posted a daunting 196 from their 30 overs with Mahmood top scoring with 68, while Shoaib just missed out on a half-century as he fell for 44.
But he made up for that when he claimed 6-15 as Kashmir were out for 102.
AFM Multan eased past Attock. Suliman’s 48 not out and 30 from Hussain helped Multan up to 174-6 from their 30 overs then Shakoor claimed 3-7 as Attock closed on 120-9.
Pakistan CC got home in a run chase as they beat Mirpur. Batting first Mirpur were bowled out for 131 with Waseem top scoring with 47, while Farooq (3-19) and Khurram (3-20) took the bowling honours for Pakistan.
Their efforts were then backed up by the batsmen, who reached 132-7.
