THE big Pendle derby between Foulridge and Barrowford turned into a non event on Saturday as rain wrecked the entire Mewies Solicitors Craven League programme.

The local rivals were due to lock horns at Noyna Rock with both teams having made a good start to the Division One campaign.

But heavy rain on Friday carried on through the night and into Saturday morning leaving the captains with no choice other than to abandon the game.

That was the tale of the day with every game in the top four divisions wiped out, while there were only two matches in Division Five.

Clubs are hoping for better weather this weekend as they aim to return to action in all divisions.
