Chipping Ramblers made the trip to Whalley in the Clitheroe Midweek Cricket League – and they had a night to remember as they claimed a win in a thrilling match.
Chipping headed off to face Sabden Ramblers at Station Road and batting first they made 83 from 15 overs with Ross Kirby clubbing a top score of 22.
Keith Parkinson took three wickets for Sabden.
Sabden made a sluggish start in reply and this proved their downfall as the required rate shot up.
Paul McKenna top scored with 17 not out as he tried to get the runs required off the last over. But Sabden fell two runs short with Rick Wright chipping in a handy 16.
