Burnley Bobcats’ 15-year-old S14 swimmer Thomas Hamer, has been chosen to represent England at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Hamer, who is a Year 11 student at Alder Grange Community Technology School, Rawtenstall, competed during the Easter break at the British Championships and the British Para Swimming International meet and following his excellent performances has been selected to compete at the Commonwealth Games.
The 39 members of the England Team, headed by team captain, Dawn Peart, include stars Francesca Halsall and Liam Tancock, who will be aiming to defend their Commonwealth titles, along with Para Swimmers Stephanie Slater and Oliver Hynd.
