BURNLEY Rugby Club is hosting an initiative to try to encourage former players to become referees or coaches.
Former international referee Peter Hughes (below) and Burnley’s Community Rugby Coach, Simon Finnan, will be presenting the new RFU initiative ‘Keep Your Boots On!’ at the Holden Road club on Sunday May, 18.
“If you have retired from playing, but want to give something back to the game, come along to this event and we will talk you through the options,” said Finnan,” who is also Burnley RUFC’s First XV player/coach.
“This metting will explainhow to become a coach or a referee.
“The Junior Section is growing in numbers. “We now need more people to join the ones who are presently doing a great job leading these new young players.” For more information, contact Simon Finnan on 07988 122186.
