MICHAEL Kightly admits he has no future at Stoke City – as he looks to make his switch to Burnley permanent.
Kightly indicated before promotion was sealed earlier this week that he was open to a permanent move to Turf Moor, after a successful season-long loan from Stoke.
The winger has now conceded that his time at Stoke looks to be over.
“Since I’ve been here I’ve not spoken to anyone from Stoke so I think that shows I won’t be there next season,” Kightly said.
“I don’t know what’s happening at the moment but I would love to join Burnley.
“I’m sure things will start to pan out in the next couple of weeks.”
The winger still has a year to run on his Stoke contract.
