Marcus Tregoning’s patient approach with Snow Trouble can be rewarded in the Betfred “Racing’s Biggest Supporter” Conditions Stakes at Kempton.

The grey looked a smart prospect when getting off the mark at the second attempt in a seven-furlong maiden at Glorious Goodwood last season, with the talk afterwards of him being the ideal type for something like the Royal Lodge at Newmarket.

Johnny Murtagh rode at Goodwood and seemed quite keen on him, but a minor setback meant he did not see the track again after that.

But at least the Tapit colt has previous experience of this surface, having finished third over seven furlongs at the Sunbury venue on his debut in June.

Tregoning, who most definitely knows how to handle a good horse when he gets one, has had a few run nicely recently which is encouraging.

Zibelina looked to have untapped potential last year and can strike in the Betfred Mobile Lotto Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes before going on to better things.

The Godolphin-owned daughter of Dansili, trained by Charlie Appleby, has raced just four times - all in a two-month window between June and August last year.

She won her first three starts, including a Listed and Group Three heat, but lost her unbeaten record when fourth to the dead-heating Integral and Ladys First in the Atlanta Stakes at that higher level at Sandown.

Integral went on to beaten just a length in second behind the top-class Sky Lantern in the Sun Chariot, so there is not a lot wrong with that form.

White Nile was a convincing winner over this two miles last week and a similar display ought to see Ed Dunlop’s charge collect in the Betfred “Still Treble Odds On Lucky 15’s” Queen’s Prize Handicap.

Riskit Fora Biskit is taken to continue the progress she showed last term by making a winning seasonal debut in the Whitsbury Manor Stud & EBF Stallions Lansdown Fillies’ Stakes at Bath.

Michael Bell’s daughter of Kodiac was unraced as a juvenile but wasted no time when she finally got to the racecourse, winning her first two starts on the all-weather at Lingfield and Kempton.

From those modest beginnings, she improved into a smart sprinter to win a Listed contest in Deauville before signing off for the year when very narrowly beaten in fourth place behind dead-heaters Dibajj and Moraj.

The subsequent Abbbaye runner-up Catcall was just ahead of her in third and natural progression from that should see her put up a bold show in this Listed race.

Fitzwilly won over the course and distance in October and has every chance of repeating the trick in the 32Red Casino Handicap.

Mick Channon’s stayer has gone up 8lb since that success and is burdened with top weight but showed he remained in good form when runner-up to Surprise Vendor at Pontefract earlier this month.

Fit from a hurdling campaign in the winter without success, he can get his head back in front on the level.

John Gosden has made a flying start to the Flat turf campaign and in Gilbey’s Mate the Newmarket handler has a major contender for the IJF 50th Anniversary Handicap at Nottingham.

The Medicean gelding ended his juvenile season with an easy victory at Catterick, having taken on such talented performers as Outstrip and Chriselliam on his first two starts.

It could be a double strike for Gosden as Zerfaal sets the standard in the Nottingham Racecourse Ladies Day 10th May Maiden Stakes on the back of his reappearance Kempton second.

At Haydock, Red Rocco looks the one to be with as he seeks to register an overdue success in the Tim Molony Handicap Chase.

Nigel Twiston-Davies’ long-distance chaser was second to Nuts N Bolts on this course in November and a respectable fifth behind Goulanes in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter last month.

Bold Chief was a winner over three miles on that very same card and Harry Fry’s runner can follow up in the Winning Express Levy Board Handicap Chase.

Storming Gale can strike for Donald McCain in the totepool Home of Pool Betting Handicap Chase at Carlisle, while Sonofagun is taken to complete his hat-trick for Ian Williams in the SIS Top Class Data Delivery Handicap Chase at Newton Abbot.
