ADAM Morgan heads to round two of the British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park believing he is in a position to build on a solid start to the season.
The Blackburn ace finished all three races at Brands Hatch inside the points and insists that work he and his team have carried out on their Mercedes A Class means the WIX Racing/Ciceley Motorsport ace can start looking towards the podium.
And with Morgan holding the lap record at this weekend’s venue, he is confident he can build on round one’s platform.
He said: “We suffered with a lack of straight line speed at Brands.
“We took the car to Silverstone last Friday and believe we have now resolved that issue. I am constantly learning things about the new car.
“My engineer is trying new things and they have an immediate effect on the way the car handles, it’s just getting better and better.
“I really enjoy the fast undulating nature of Donington and with the way the Mercedes A Class handles am really looking forward to the weekend.
“To leave the first round of the Championship well inside the top 10 and with three points finishes is testament to the team and the commitment and dedication they have shown.”
Racing begins on Saturday with practice and qualifying before Sunday’s races get under way from 11.30am. The action will be shown live on ITV 4.
