Bacup and Rossendale Borough out to continue survival march

BACUP and Rossendale Borough will be looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since August as they continue their fight for survival in the North West Counties League Premier Division.
Brent Peters’ side gave their survival prospects a real shot in the arm in midweek with a 3-0 home win over Squires Gate which means they are in the bottom two only on goal difference.
And a victory over a Stockport side who Borough beat in the reverse fixture to complete those successive wins of the season, could see Bacup climb as high as 18th in the table.
Adrian Bellamy scored his third in as many games on Wednesday night to complete the scoring after an own goal and Paul Socha had put Borough in the driving seat.
Elsewhere, Colne drew 0-0 in midweek with title outsiders Glossop North End and travel to West Didsbury and Chorlton tomorrow. Barnoldswick Town are without a game.
