Clitheroe 2XV took centre stage on a day when their first team had the day off and ran in the tries to claim a huge win over Chorley 2XV at Littlemoor Road.
They were dominant throughout the encouunter and roared to a 74-7 victory as Chorley were restricted to just one try.
The win sees them remain in second place in Division Five North behind already promoted Burnley 3XV with the pair now set to battle all the way until the end of the season for the honour of being crowned champions.
Blackburn 2XV strengthened their position at the top of Division Two North as they were also victorious at the weekend.
They eased to a 46-3 win over lowly Leigh 3XV at Ramsgreave Drive and are now 12 points clear of second-placed Bolton.
Pendle’s North Lancs Two game with Eagle was postponed but Colne and Nelson had a day to forget in the same division.
They had just a penalty to show for their trip to North Manchester as they went down 29-3 to the runaway leaders.
Colne and Nelson 2XV were also beaten as they lost 17-10 at home to Blackpool in Division Five North.
